“The Green Girl Music and Arts Festival celebrates female musicians, artists, and performers while embracing and encouraging green practices and initiatives in the community.”

About The Las Vegas 2010 Festival …

After three years of presenting The Las Vegas Girl Festival, founder, Sharon Ludlam saw a need to turn the festival green!

While continuing to spotlight and empower women in music and the arts, the mission of the festival has expanded to raising awareness about the need to green our environment. The festival encourages reusing, repurposing, reducing and recycling. Thus was born the Green Girl Music & Arts Festival.

With the help of passionate musicians, artists, sponsors, green businesses, organizations, individuals and volunteers, the festival will be a great way to educate and entertain our community!

The festival will feature all day performances by both local and touring female musicians, artists, dancers, poets, and film makers. There will also be educational exhibits, eco vendors, demonstrations, animal welfare, natural, organic, vegetarian and vegan cuisine, healthy and green living services, crafts, and environmental speakers.

History …

Established in 2007, the Las Vegas Girl Festival gave female performers and artists a voice, a spotlight, and a chance to perform and/or display their artwork. The Festival provided an opportunity to showcase their talents in a supportive environment. The festival featured artists as young as 8 years old, all the way up to veteran performers. The Las Vegas Girl Festival, a celebration of female musicians, poets, spoken word artists, dancers, comedians, artists, and film makers, has now evolved into the Green Girl Music and Arts Festival.

Mission Statement …

The Green Girl Music & Arts Festival has a dual purpose.  One purpose is to empower female musicians, artists and performers by giving them a spotlight, a chance to perform in a Festival setting & to entertain the community.  At the same time, we strive to bring together groups, individuals, and businesses to help educate the public by raising awareness about reducing our carbon footprint.  We believe that by bringing together these diverse forces we can achieve our goals that will make our community and planet a better place to live.
